On the drive to Dalhousie we took a detour off the main highway to follow the Acadian Coastal Drive - like Highway Number 1 on the US West Coast, but in Canada and on the East Coast of New Brunswick. Charlie was cooperating (sleeping) and the weather was perfect for a tour of the coast. We stumbled across a wine route (2 wineries, stick to the lobster!) and the beautiful sand dunes in Bouctouche. We were able to get out and walk most of the dune and it really was something else - absolutely beautiful and really peaceful.
