About 25 minutes north of Teton Village (where our place is) you can find Jenny Lake. A fresh water lake fed by glacial water and melting snow in the spring, this little gem was our nearly our private lake for the day. While there were plenty of hikers making their way around the lake, we were the only ones in the water.
Charlie had to sit this one out and was left on the sidelines to watch, snooze and go for a walk with Nana and Ang.
Marky giving Case some tips ...
Marky and Case doing a traditional native kayak boat dance, said to bring good luck to paddlers heading out on the water. The boaters face in opposite directions, circle three times while chanting "TUK TUK OLI WAGGA WHIM WHIM" ... seemed to work for us. The other explanation could be that the Grand Dude was sitting on his kayak seat and I needed to pull it up for him, but he was still sitting on part of it and couldn't shimmy any further in the boat. You choose which you'd like to believe!
We're off, but not without some hikers commenting that they thought they were about to witness one of us sinking our kayaks. Unfortunately for them, they had to leave disappointed!
After Marky and I got back from our paddle, Ang jumped in the Grand Dude's kayak and took off on me while I was fumbling with my camera.
