Even though all players will win the award once this season, Charlie was the unanimous choice for player of the game. Even parents from the other team were commenting on his game. He had four big hits and half a dozen put outs in the field. On the last play of the game, Charlie fielded the ball at second and ran and tagged out the runner on the way to first. He then sprinted across the diamond to get the runner who was snoozing at second with a slow start to third. For good measure he tagged the runner going from first to second for for second time. She had kept running after Charlie tagged her by first!
Grandma and GT took in their second game, while Mom, Dad and Evie watched for the fir time!
