Fort Lauderdale - Day 5

Might just have been the best weather of the trip, and why not, for Charlie's 5th birthday.  We started off with a walk to Starbucks - Charlie found a coconut.  Evie and Charlie split a yogurt at Starbs and then had races up and down the fenced in front entrance.

Off to the beach early to beat the heat.  We had a mission, dig a BIG hole. Mission accomplished.  Also wanted to get the kids in the ocean.  The ocean had cleared up from previous days and provided a perfect opportunity to go for a quick dip in the chilly Atlantic.  It was so hot out that the cold water was enjoyable.

After the beach, Charlie picked pizza for his birthday lunch.  Ang found a highly ranked pizza restaurant that didn't disappoint.

Dropped the ladies off shopping and GT read the kids a bedtime story for their afternoon nap.

After the nap we 1) swam in the pool 2) a little baseball and frisbee 3) a birthday party where both kids needed to blow out candles and finally a hot wheels competition where Evie had the shot of the night.  She hung a hot wheel right on the edge of the step, which was the goal of the entire competition. It was her second shot, the rest of us had 50 combined and couldn't her skill!
