Charlie had a great first triathlon. No surprise, he was a bit competitive and put everything he had into the race. Dad had to do the pool portion with him and decided to try to keep up the on the bike and run. Charlie's big arms put him in a good spot coming out of the pool and he bolt from the pool to the bike transition area. From there he did a great job on his new bike for 500m, include the U-turn at the midway point. Once off the bike he ran a determined 100m to cross the finish line.
Finish time: 5:53 seconds. 7th place out of 160 3-5 yr old kids, with Dad making rookie mistakes in the transition!
As an added bonus, Rhea was there competing along side Charlie. Both kids did great and are looking forward to their next triathlon experience. Evie is too!
