Good day to hit the road, the weather called for rain and storms all day. Charlie begged to go back to the Balacade, so we decided to drive through Bala on the way home. First stop was Don's Bakery where Charlie and Evie split a HUGE strawberry filled doughnut - Nicola had a chocolate dip with broken Skor bar all over it. Dad had a raspberry turnover and Mom was out of luck as Don had gluten in everything. That's ok, we made it to Starbucks in Parry Sound, so Mom was pretty content already.
Two surprises at the Balacade:
1. Blair found out from Instagram that we were at Otter Lake and told us that he was up at his cottage in Bala. So Blair, Grant, Leslie and Georgia all came and met us at the Balacade
2. David Anthony was in town for a concert the night before and we ran into him this time at the arcade. Dave was a gracious host and gave us a tour of the "back rooms" of the old arcade which was like a trip into the 70's. Pretty cool.
After an hour of game playing we hit the road with one last stop at Weber's for some classic Muskoka cottage fare
