Evie's First Blue Jay Game

Someone was SUPER excited for her first baseball game.  It's quite the effort to get there however.  Met up with Mike, Harry and Emilia at the Go Train station and took the PACKED Go Train to Union.  Some nice kids (23-24yr olds) from Simcoe gave up 2 of their 4 seats and talked to the kids the entire ride.

We then ran the entire way to the stadium and stood in a long cold lineup to get in. It was c\"Country Day" and everyone was arriving early to get a free t-shirt ... which we didn't get, but were so cold, the kids didn't notice.

Once inside, we made the trek up to the top level (500) of the stadium and found our seats in the last row of the upper deck (Row 21).  This was party by design - if we were going to be in the nose bleeds, might as well be in the last row as there is space behind you for storing bags, kids junk, letting kids play etc ...

We got to the game early, Mom packed us with some Kernels popcorn (right across form Lego Life Club) and water.  The snacks kept the kids occupied for the 5-6 innings we stayed.  Jays were crushed 5-1 by the time we left, the only highlight being Kevin Pillar's home run.

We left the game and headed to the Mill Street Brewery Pub/Resto by the UP Express in the indoor tunnel between the Dome and Union Station.  They kids ran around and had a great time and fell asleep as soon as they were home!
